Fees & Payments

Clear pricing, No surprises.

IPS believes clients should understand how costs are applied before making an international payment. Our service fee is incorporated within the exchange rate quoted to you, so there is no separate IPS service charge added to your currency conversion.

How IPS fees work

Simple and transparent.

Exchange Rate

IPS earns its fee within the exchange rate applied to your currency conversion. The rate shown to you is inclusive of the IPS service fee.

Your Bank

Your bank may charge a fee when sending or receiving funds. Any such charges are determined by your bank and are outside IPS's control.

Outgoing Payment Fee

When making an outgoing payment, your bank or intermediary may charge a fee that will be charged depending on the payment route used.

Payment fee options

You have options.

Depending on the payment route, the outgoing transfer fee can either be paid separately by the sender or deducted from the amount being sent to the beneficiary.

Sender Pays

The transfer fee is charged separately, allowing the beneficiary to receive the full payment amount. Subject to any intermediary or receiving-bank charges that may apply.

Beneficiary Pays

The transfer fee is deducted from the outgoing payment amount, meaning the beneficiary receives the payment less the applicable transfer fee.

Not sure which option to choose? Your dedicated IPS contact can explain the available payment options before your transfer is made.

Important information

The exchange rate matters most.

When comparing the cost of an international payment, the transfer fee is only one part of the overall transaction. The greatest difference in value is often created by the exchange rate applied to the currency conversion rather than the transfer charge itself.

IPS focuses on providing competitive exchange rates alongside clear, transparent transfer fees, so you can assess the overall cost of each transaction rather than the transfer fee in isolation.

Safeguarding your funds

Where client funds qualify as Relevant Funds under applicable payment services regulations, they are safeguarded by Sciopay in segregated bank accounts, separate from its own business funds.

Clear pricing

Transparent from the outset.

Before confirming a currency conversion or outgoing payment, the applicable exchange rate and transfer fee will be made clear to you.
